At Hørning and Hvilehøj two rich Viking Age female burials, preserved textiles were found. Hvilehøj was excavated in 1881 and the remains indicates the presence of a fur trimmed cloak with a tablet woven border in silk, silver and gold. The Hørning burial was found in the early 1960 th. inside Hørning Church. The grave was placed there before the church was build. Several tablet weavings were found in the grave.
